Topics for discussion:

  • Ways in which people construct and articulate identity with digital media
  • What roles do institutions play in structuring interest-driven participation
  • Whose participation/what kinds of participation have been left out of the conversation surrounding interest-driven participation to date
  • Envisioning programs, learning environments and projects to address the need for equity and access to forms of participation of learning with digital media

Invited speaker:

Pedro Noguera, PhD, professor in the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development at New York University.
